The York County Department of Parks and Recreation presents the "Young at Heart" hikes on Tuesdays this June.

Participants join parks program coordinator Jeri Jones to explore some of the history and nature in selected parks and county-owed land.

This is an opportunity for anyone to get exercise, start a walking regime, socialize with fellow walkers, see some beautiful landscapes, visit several historic structures and observe nature. Walks are scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m.

Details for each walk:

* June 5, John Rudy County Park Main Parking Area;

* June 12, Rail Trail County Park, Brillhart Station Parking Area;

* June 19, Rocky Ridge County Park, Oak Timbers Parking Area;

* June 26, Horn Farm Center for Agriculture, 4945 Horn Road, York, PA 17406.

There is no fee for the program, and registration is not required. For more information, contact Jeri Jones at (717) 840-7226.
