Crowley

Chris Crowley's books have been dubbed the best thing ever written about fitness for the baby boomer generation and "the Boomers' Bible."

Next week the New York Times best-selling author Crowley will be sharing his wit and wisdom in York.

On Tuesday, Crowley will be the keynote speaker at noon at the Prime of Life Festival at the York Expo Center.

The author will discuss his books, which include "Younger Next Year: A Guide to Living Like 50 Until You're 80 and Beyond," and its followup companion, "Younger Next Year for Women."

Crowley will also talk about what the baby boomer generation needs to do to thrive and become younger next year.

A graduate of Exeter, Harvard College, and the University of Virginia Law School, Crowley spent the majority of his career at a law firm in New York City before retiring because he "wanted to live more than one life."

The 16th annual Prime of Life Festival is targeted at seniors and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event includes vendors, live music, a pet show, senior spelling bee and free bingo. Educational seminars on topics like nutrition, disaster preparation and protecting assets will be held throughout the day.

Parking and admission for the event are free. For more information, visit www.primeoflife.org.
