HARRISBURG - A central Pennsylvania couple that engaged in sex acts with an infant to make child pornography has been ordered to spend a combined 60 years in prison.

Michael Strausbaugh was sentenced Tuesday to 45 years in prison while his wife, Rebecca, received 15 years.

The New Oxford, Adams County couple was arrested in March 2011 and convicted on federal charges of sexual exploitation of a child. Michael Strausbaugh was also convicted of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Prosecutors say the assaults happened in December 2010, with husband and wife both engaging in contact with the girl.

Michael Strausbaugh was on probation on state charges of indecent assault with a minor at the time the December assaults took place.

Rebecca Strausbaugh had taken classes at TRIAD Treatment Specialists in order to serve as Michael Strausbaugh's approved supervisor to monitor his interaction with children to make sure he complied with the conditions of his probation.

A spokeswoman for federal prosecutors tells The Patriot-News that Rebecca Strausbaugh has filed for divorce.
