An Adams County man died from head trauma after crashing a motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Adams County, York County Chief Deputy Coroner Claude Stabley said.
Matthew Sanders, 22, of the 1300 block of Carlisle Pike in Conewago Township, was riding westbound on Stone Bridge Road in Mount Pleasant Township when he failed to negotiate a curve.
His motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lane and went off the road, according to state police in Gettysburg. Sanders then struck a dirt embankment with his front tire and was thrown from the motorcycle about 3:30 p.m., police said.
Sanders, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown to York Hospital by medical helicopter and was pronounced dead at 5:20 p.m., Stabley said.
