STATE COLLEGE - Penn State's president says the university could have its biggest incoming class in six years this fall with a 6-percent increase in acceptances.
Rodney Erickson also told university trustees Friday that applications for baccalaureate admissions were ahead of last year's pace by more than 2 percent, which would result in another record for applications.
The school is focused on moving forward from the scandal that arose after former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested on child sexual abuse charges in November.
Erickson said that while things might change over the summer, he expected the university to meets its enrollment target of 7,200 at the main campus in State College.
