York County could see some severe weather Friday afternoon and evening.
A cold front approaching from the northwest could bring severe thunderstorms, with large hail and damaging winds along with frequent lightning, according to the National Weather Service. The storms are most likely between 5 and 8 p.m. Friday, the service said.
Friday will begin with clouds, then become partly sunny, with a high of 85 and low of 61, the forecast said.
Saturday has a chance of showers in the morning and thunderstorms in the afternoon, the NWS said. The day will be partly sunny, with a high of 77 and low of 52.
Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. The high will be 71 and the low 46, the forecast said.
The weather will calm down on Monday, with a partly sunny day expected and a high of 70 and low of 53, the NWS said.
Tuesday again brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high of 71 and low of 56, the forecast said.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain, the forecast said. The high will be 72 and the low 55.
