Basket bingo
St. Peter's Lischey's United Church of Christ will hold its eighth annual basket bingo at 7 p.m. Friday at the New Oxford Social Club Pavilion.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door for 20 games. All baskets are filled and include liners and protector. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Special games, raffles and food will be available.
Proceeds will benefit the St. Peter's Lischey's Family Enrichment Center Building for Service Fund. For tickets, call the church office at 717-225-3932.
YORK CITY
HeidelBean opening
Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 47 W. Philadelphia St., York, will open its new young adult coffee house, named HeidelBean, at 6:30 p.m. Friday. HeidelBean will be open on the first Friday of each month as part of York's first Friday event.
This new ministry of the church hopes to get to know and build relationships with young adults in York and find ways to minister to them while providing a safe and creative setting for them to gather with their friends. Each night of operation will feature local musicians, poets and artists who will be encouraged to share their work with the audience.
For HeidelBean's inaugural, two performers have agreed to headline the event, Phillip Nathaniel Freeman of The Lone Wolf Project and guitarist Jordan Reichard. Heidelberg band member Brahmii Lagrutta will also perform. An open mike will be available for attendees to take the stage.
Coffee and homemade desserts will be available for a donation. Wireless Internet is also available. Attendees can enter through the side door accessed from Philadelphia Street or by the back door at the rear of the church.

---Spaghetti Dinner: The Dillsburg K-Kids are sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Dillsburg Elementary School, 202 S. Chestnut St. to benefit the Dillsburg Area Public Library.
---Little House Program, 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Dill's Tavern, 227 N. Baltimore St., Dillsburg. Join the library and the Northern York County Historical and Preservation Society in celebration of the life and times of Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the "Little House on the Prairie" children's series. Recommended for ages 6-12, the program will include games and crafts from the late 19th century as well as a tour of the restored historic tavern. Registration is suggested.
YORK HABITAT
Race-themed fundraiser
The public is invited to An Evening at the Races from 5 to 10 p.m. May 19 at Yorktowne Farms.
Attendees will enjoy food, drink, live music by Top Shelf, auctions, and wagering on horse races with "funny" money. Sport your best horse racing attire (hats encouraged) for an evening of entertainment to benefit York Habitat for Humanity.

ROCKY RIDGE PARK
Warbler Walk
The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will present a Warbler Walk from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday at Rocky Ridge County Park.
Participants will meet in the Hidden Laurel Parking Area. Join parks volunteer Randy Phillips to search for warblers, which are migrating birds best seen in May.
This program is for birders of all levels. Participants should bring binoculars and field guides. The program is free and registration is not required.

WINTERSTOWN
PTO May Fair
The North Hopewell Winterstown Elementary School PTO is having its May Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The North Hopewell-Winterstown Volunteer Fire Co. will be there helping out and also have its engine and ATV on display, along with ambulance and police department vehicles.
Weather permitting, or if it doesn't have any calls at noon, Stat-Medevac helicopter will be landing in the school ballfield, 12185 Winterstown Road (Route 24) in Winterstown and remain on display till 1 p.m.
The NHW-PTO will have many games, food and much more for the kids to enjoy. The fire company will also have pit beef, turkey and ham sandwiches for sale at the fire hall from 10 a.m. until sold out.
RED LION
High school choir concert
The Red Lion Concert Choir will perform for the final time in the 2011-2012 school year at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Red Lion Area Senior High School auditorium.
The Mixed Chorus and the Madrigal Choir will join them for the show. Selections include "Sleep," a selection written by Eric Whitacre, "Lean on Me," "Under the Sea," and "There's a Place for Us."
The concert choir will also perform a mini-musical. This year's selection is a choral medley of songs written by Stephen Schwartz, including "Colors of the Wind" from "Pocahontas," and "Defying Gravity" from "Wicked."
The cost of admission is $3. The concert will also recognize the senior members of the choral music department and honor the seniors with various awards.

Weekend events
---Bethel United Methodist Church, 1674 Furnace Road, Brogue, has two events planned for Saturday.
First, a family-style beef pot pie supper will be served at 3:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children ages 6 to 12. Dessert and drinks are included. Carryouts, available after 4 p.m., are $8 for meals, $4.50 per quart of pot pie and $4 per quart of cole slaw.
Then at 7 p.m. there will be a large-screen showing of the video "Courageous." Free snacks will be served. The other three Living Bible Studies video series will be shown at 7 p.m. on May 20 and June 3 and 10. For more information, call 927-9380 or 244-5237.
---Locust Grove United Church of Christ, 1035 Locust Grove Road, Windsor Township, is holding a chicken barbecue and bake sale beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, rain or shine. Dinners will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, until sold out. The cost of the dinner is $7.50 and includes a half chicken, baked potato, applesauce, dinner roll and butter, cupcake and beverage. Dinners can be eaten on site or carried out. ---Cruisin Night ice cream social 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, 5 Main St., Yorkana. Food includes shakes, hamburgers, floats, hot dogs, sundaes, french fries, banana splits and cones, with '50s and '60s music. The event benefits Christ Church.
