A Reading man faces a host of charges after he allegedly led a state police trooper on a chase in stolen vehicle through eastern York County.
Edwin Rivera-Franceschi, 23, is charged with DUI, fleeing and eluding, receiving stolen property and 12 other charges in connection with the incident, according to online court documents.
A trooper attempted to pull over the car Rivera-Franceschi was driving on Route 30 in Hellam Township about 3:10 a.m. on April 1, police said on Sunday.
Rivera-Franceschi refused to stop and drove into Wrightsville with the trooper in pursuit, police said.
Rivera-Franceschi ditched the car and fled on foot but was arrested by the trooper, police said.
After his arrest, the trooper found that the car Rivera-Franceschi was driving was reported stolen, police said.
As of Friday, he remained in York County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
