A ski mask-clad man got through an outside door of a Wendy's restaurant in Springettsbury Township but couldn't break open the locked door to the manager's office where the safe is kept.

The burglary happened at the 2802 E. Market St. restaurant between 1 and 6 a.m. on April 19th, according to township police.

The would-be thief broke a rear exterior light before prying open the rear fire door, police said.

Once inside, the thief attempted to break into the manager's office but failed, police said. Damage to the building is estimated at $8,000.
