W. MANHEIM TWP.
The Fuhrman Mill Road bridge over the west branch of the Codorus Creek in West Manheim Township has been reopened after completion of a reconstruction project.
The road had been closed to through traffic between Black Rock Road and Route 94 since January as crews demolished the existing bridge and constructed a new one, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The former bridge was built in 1926 and was classified structurally deficient. The new, $495,512 bridge was built by Susquehanna Valley Construction Corp. of New Cumberland.
