Fire badly damaged a trailer in Dover Township's Meadowview Mobile Home Park on Wednesday night, displacing a woman and her adult son, a fire official said.

Firefighters were called to the home in the first block of Willow Tree Lane about 9:30 p.m. and had flames knocked down in about 10 minutes, according to township fire Capt. Brian Widmayer.

No one was hurt, he said, but the home is uninhabitable.

The York-Adams chapter of the American Red Cross is assisting the two people who lived there, a woman and her adult son, Widmayer said.

A damage estimate has not yet been determined, but Widmayer described damage to the home as significant.

A state police fire marshal is investigating to determine the cause of the blaze, Widmayer said, which is standard procedure in the township any time a home is badly damaged by fire.
