The American Cancer Society, the Personal Care Products Council Foundation and the National Cosmetology Association/Professional Beauty Association have collaborated for the Look Good Feel Better program.

The program brings in a trained volunteer cosmetologist for a group session with women on how to cope with skin changes while going through cancer treatment and hair loss using cosmetics and skin care products. Women also learn ways to disguise hair loss with wigs, scarves, and accessories.

Cancer patients must register in advance to attend the two-hour workshop. These sessions are coming up: 6-8 p.m. Monday; 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 21; or 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 25. All sessions are held at the Apple Hill Medical Center, 25 Monument Road.
