---Build a Bird House, 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 28. For ages 7 and up. Birdhouses will be made out of aged wood from local barn restorations. Free. Sign up at the desk.
---Book Sale, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, April 14. New and gently used books for adults and children, music CDs, videos. Prices from 25 cents to $1.
---Women's Pampering Day, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Come to Sacred Heart Parish Center to learn about local businesses that cater to women. Door prizes and silent auction will take place.
OTTERBEIN UM CHURCH
Discounted food
Otterbein UM Church, 50 School St., York Township, offers a monthly food discount program, SHARE, affiliated with the York County Food Bank.
Individuals may purchase discount, quality groceries using cash or food stamps. This is a community outreach program; participants are asked to volunteer at a church or other community organization for two hours monthly in order to qualify.
Food may be ordered at the church from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, and picked up from 10 a.m. to noon April 21. Everyone is invited to participate. For more information, call Lois at 741-2302 or Virginia at 741-3462.
DILLSBURG
Food drive
The Dillsburg Road Angels car club will host a food drive for New Hope Ministries Food Bank from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Dillsburg Shopping Center, 800 Route 15 North in Carroll Township.
Members from the club will hand out fliers listing the needed items for New Hope Ministries Food Bank. The public is asked to place the donated items in the bed of classic pickup trucks, which will be in the parking lot.
CATHOLIC WOMEN'S CLUB
Lunch, fashion show
Reservations are required by Sunday for the Catholic Woman's Club of York's annual spring luncheon and fashion show to be held April 21 at the Outdoor Country Club of York.
The doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the luncheon begins at noon. Fashions will be provided by The Shoe Gallery.
The cost is $30 each, and the proceeds will benefit the club's scholarship fund.

---"The Wrath of God: Lope de Aguirre, Revolutionary of the Americas," 10:30 a.m. Saturday. In his book "The Wrath of God," Evan Balkan argues that Aguirre's traditional representation as a cruel and treacherous madman is too one-dimensional and that he may in fact be the Americas' first true revolutionary. Discussion and book sale.
---Teen Writing Group, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12 and 26. Teens age 13-18 are welcome at the Guthrie Memorial Library Writer's Club, where attendees practice the craft of writing and share what they've written. The group meets in the Teen library every other Thursday.
---Remember Forest Park with Mary Mills, 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 16. Mary Mills will talk about Hanover's amusement park, Forest Park. Come and share your memories.
---Vera Bradley Bingo, 11 a.m. Sunday, April 22. Twenty games will be played. There will be special games, extra cards, dabbers, lunch and games of chance for purchase.
---Kinderman, 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 23. Kinderman plays music, sings songs and entertains preschoolers. No registration required. The program will take place in the John D. Bare Center.

---Wills and Other Estate Planning Documents, 6:30 p.m. Monday. Explore with Bradley C. Jacobs, register of wills of York County, and attorney John Herrold the various documents necessary for an effective estate plan. If time permits, taxes imposed at time of death will also be discussed.
---Your Story Book Family Art Workshop, 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, 23 and 30. Using your family photos, work with your children to draw pictures and write a story that captures the memories of a special day, family member or family event. First in a series of three weekly workshops for children ages 3-5 and an adult participant. Instructor: Ophelia Chambless, artist. Registration required.
---Super Saturday Bingo for Children, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21. The library will provide bingo dabbers. Everyone gets a prize. Registration is requested.
