Denver-based Chipotle Mexican Grill on Thursday announced it will again host its Boorito fundraiser on Halloween.
Chipotle at 2801 Concord Road in Springettsbury Township will give costumed customers a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos for $2 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Up to $1 million in proceeds from the event will be donated to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, which supports farmers and organizations that create a sustainable, healthy and humanely raised food supply, the company said.
The event also enables customers to save between $4 and $5 on their orders.
"We have always believed that good food should be affordable and accessible to everyone," CEO Steve Ellis said in a statement. "By using this program as a (fundraiser), we have already raised $2 million to support farmers and organizations that make sustainable and (humanely raised) food possible. ... It's a great way to celebrate Halloween by doing something good."
