The York Catholic golf team cruised to a dominating victory in the opening high school event of the 2014 fall season.

The Fighting Irish finished with a 380 total in a York-Adams Division III match at South Hills Golf Club near Hanover. York Catholic finished a whopping 82 shots ahead of second-place Hanover (462). Delone Catholic was third at 475.

Nick Geiman led the Irish with a 69, while Joe Parrini came in at 70. Andrew Forjan added a 75 for York Catholic, while Jon Giambalvo fired an 81 and Ryan Deporter shot an 85. Mario Statuto also shot 85 for Delone. Those were the six lowest scores on the day.
