Rain interfered with the start of both the Central and Susquehanna playoff championship series on Tuesday.

Both local baseball leagues have rescheduled their playoff championship series openers for 5:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Glen Rock will visit Mount Wolf in Game 1 of the Central League playoff title series, while Jacobus will visit Hallam in Game 1 of the Susquehanna League playoff title series.

Game 2 in the Susquehanna series is set for 5:45 p.m. Thursday at Jacobus. Game 2 in the Central series will not be played until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Glen Rock.

Both series were originally set to be best-of-5 series, but there's a possibility that the Central series may be shortened to a best-of-3 series, according to Central League official Judy Cutright. The Central series was supposed to have Game 2 on Thursday, but Cutright said that two funerals on Thursday meant that the game couldn't happen on that day, pushing Game 2 until Saturday.

Mount Wolf and Hallam won the regular-season championships in their respective leagues and will meet in the best-of-3 York County Championship Series on Aug. 23-24.

All four teams have already qualified for the Tom Kerrigan Colonial York Tournament over Labor Day weekend.
