Central York High School graduate. Lauren Moyer, a rising sophomore at the University of North Carolina, was one of 22 student-athletes selected for the United State under-21 national field hockey team.

The announcement was made by USA Field Hockey on Friday. She was awarded a spot on the squad following the 2014 Junior National Camp, which ran from July 6-9.

Previously named to the United States under-19 team and a two-year member of the U.S. indoor team, Moyer trained throughout the spring at the USA Field Hockey South High Performance Center. From the HP training squad, she was selected to compete in the 2014 Women's National Championship, which took place at Spooky Nook Sports in Manheim, Pa., from June 16-21. Following the tournament, Moyer was invited to the junior national camp, which is the final tryout for the junior national teams (under 21, under 19 and under17).

Moyer had a strong freshman season at North Carolina, playing in all 24 games and starting five. She finished the season with six goals and two assists, helping UNC reach the ACC championship and the NCAA Division I Final Four.
