Chaz Powell is again looking for an NFL job.

The former Susquehannock High School standout was waived by the New York Giants on Tuesday.

Powell, a defensive back, was added to the Giants' practice squad last Dec. 10 and had signed a reserve-future contract with the Giants following the 2013 regular season.

Powell has been trying to land a permanent job in the NFL since leaving Penn State, where he played both defensive back and wide receiver, as well as returning kicks. His final season at PSU was 2011.

The 26-year-old was cut by the Green Bay Packers in the 2013 preseason. After that, he had tryouts with the Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers before getting signed by the Giants.

The 6-foot, 203-pounder has yet to play a down in an NFL regular-season game but has previously played on the practice squads of the Packers and Oakland Raiders.
