The Dover Eagles bounced back from a loss in the first set to beat visiting Dallastown, 25-27, 25-18, 25-22, 25-19, in York-Adams League boys' volleyball action on Thursday.
Brendan Warren and Koleman Hoffman had highly productive nights for Dover. Warren finished with 33 kills, 15 digs and five blocks, and Hoffman put up 11 kills, 15 digs, three aces and four blocks. J.T. Crossan supplied 45 assists for the winners, and Koi Xapakdy recorded 13 digs. Zach Stein and Aaron Ward combined for 23 Dallastown kills, and Nate Swartz had 31 assists for the Wildcats. Dallastown won the JV match, 25-19, 25-15.
OTHER BOYS' VOLLEYBALL
Red Lion 3, York Suburban 0: At Red Lion, Dan Longnecker's 10 kills and 16 assists led the Lions to the 25-20, 25-21, 26-24 victory. Also for the Lions, Jared Warner had 11 kills and 12 digs, Hunter Klein had 18 assists and eight digs and Bennett Frey had six digs and five kills. For the Trojans, Jake Kauffman had 11 kills, six digs and three blocks, while Liam Ridings had six kills and four digs and Sepehr Vakili had nine digs and four kills. Red Lion won the JV match, 29-27, 9-25, 15-13. Red Lion improved to 8-2 in the York-Adams League, 9-4 overall, while York Suburban fell to 7-3 in the league and 8-3 overall.
Central York 3, West York 0: The host Panthers won in three games, 25-13, 25-14, 25-9. Central York improved to 9-0 overall and 8-0 in the York-Adams League. Dylan Hose (32 assists, six digs) and Alex Klunk (nine kills) led the Panthers' attack. West York's Taylor Boyer (eight assists) and Mitch Grimm (seven digs) paced the Bulldogs.
Eastern 3, New Oxford 0: At New Oxford, Elliot Royce pounded 11 kills, and Sean Mego supplied 32 assists to help the Golden Knights sweep the Colonials, 25-13, 25-22, 25-17. Nate Myers filled the statistics sheet for Eastern with seven kills, seven digs, four blocks, one assist and one ace, and Brady Daily and Orion Rodriguez combined for 14 kills for the winners. Ryan McMaster (11 kills) and Trey Noble (15 assists) led New Oxford. The Colonials won the JV match, 24-26, 25-16, 15-4.
Susquehannock 3, Spring Grove 0: At Spring Grove, the Warriors improved their league record to 6-4 with the straight-sets victory, 25-16, 25-20, 25-11. Nathan Rohrbaugh delivered 12 kills, five blocks and three aces, and Stephen Rouse racked up 30 assists for the winners. Susquehannock's Tyler White and A.J. Schaeffer teamed for 20 digs. Luke Huffnagle had four kills and Austin Muff had seven assists for the Rockets. Spring Grove won the JV match, 25-15, 18-25, 15-9.
Northeastern 3, Kennard-Dale 0: At Fawn Grove, the Bobcats won, 25-8, 25-10, 25-11. For the Bobcats, Matt Schaeffer had 27 assists, while Phillip White had six kills and Matt Hollinger had six kills and four aces. For the Rams, Josiah McConville had 10 assists, Kendall Wales had five digs and three kills and Luke Criswell had five digs and six kills. Northeastern improved to 9-0 in the York-Adams League and 11-0 overall.
