The nationally-ranked York College lacrosse teams went on the road Wednesday night and came home with a pair of rain-soaked victories.
The Spartan women, who are ranked No. 10 in NCAA Division III, notched a 14-6 non-conference win at Dickinson College in Carlisle.
The No. 12 York men, meanwhile, traveled to Marywood in Scranton and came home with a 10-7 non-conference triumph.
The Spartan women improved to 5-2, while dropping the Red Devils to an identical 5-2 mark. The York men moved to 7-1, while Marywood fell to 3-5. The Spartan men have won seven straight.
Central York High School graduate Jocelyn Hudson had a career day for York. The senior attack poured in five goals on just seven shots. Erica Mulford added three goals and an assist for York, while Allison Kolacy and Melissa Ritchey added three points each. Kolacy had a goal and two assists while Ritchey had three helpers.
York's Ashley Smith earned her fifth win of the year with 11 saves.
"We played really well at both ends of the field today and really supported each other," York coach Jen Muston said. "We've been focusing on the fact that each player on the field needs to do their individual part in the game to contribute to a win and the girls did just that today. Everyone played a role in the victory."
In the men's game, Andrew Gamble led the way with three goals and two assists. Tyler Hutson added three goals for the Spartans, while James Lowe chipped in two goals and an assist. Tyler Davis had three assists for York.
Caleb Abney got the win in goal with nine saves, while James Anderson added three saves for York.
Both York teams return to action Saturday with home Capital Athletic Conference matches. The York women play Wesley at noon, while the York men face Salisbury at 3 p.m. Salisbury is 8-0 and ranked No. 2 in Division III.
