For a third-straight season, York Catholic High School graduate Kady Schrann is going to experience March Madness.
Schrann is a junior for the Vanderbilt University women's basketball team, which earned a 15th-straight appearance in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Tournament on Monday night.
The 5-foot, 9-inch junior is averaging for 4.2 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists for the Commodores, who are 18-12 overall and earned an at-large berth into the field of 64. She has played in 29 games with 17 starts and is averaging nearly 20 minutes played per game.
Vanderbilt will open the tournament as a No. 8 seed and will take on No. 9 seed Arizona State (22-9) at 11 a.m. Saturday in Toledo, Ohio.
Schrann averaged 6.4 points per game as a sophomore and 6.7 points per game as a freshman.
