The York College baseball team improved to 7-2 on Sunday with an 8-0 victory over Randolph-Macon in Ashland, Va.

Dan Gurganus pitched an eight-hit shutout for York with three strikeouts and two walks. He is now 3-2 on the season.

South Western High School graduate Colin Porter had four hits with two RBIs and two runs scored for York. Andrew Hershey added two hits, two RBIs and a run scored for the Spartans, while Stephen Miele and Dallastown grad Derek Pitzer each added two hits, one RBI and one run scored. Randolph-Macon fell to 9-7.
