It was a good night at the Graham Aquatic Center for the West York High School swimming teams.

The Bulldogs swept the visiting Susquehannock Warriors.

The West York girls triumphed 97-72 to end a dual-meet losing streak that stretched nearly three years. Courtney Harnish set new school records in the 200 freestyle (1 minute, 49.26 seconds) and 100 backstroke (:56:26). Her time in the 200 free was also a new York-Adams League record. Taylor Hoover (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke) and Alyssa Hersey (50 free, 100 free) also won two individual events each for West York. Harnish, Hoover and Hersey also each swam on two winning relays. As a team, the Bulldogs outscored the Warriors in all but two events. They also swept two events and went 1-2 in the butterfly, a race where they only entered two swimmers.

The West York boys won 89-81 in a meet that went down to the last event -- the 400 freestyle relay. The Bulldogs won that event behind Dayne Brindle, Reed French, Greg Landis and David Foery to sew up the victory. Foery also won the 50 free and 100 free and swam on the winning 200 free relay. Also for West York, Ben Spangler won the 200 IM, 100 breast and swam on the 200 free relay.
