York High graduate Malachi Leonard has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
The 6-foot, 8-inch senior center helped Seton Hill split two games in non-conference action. In an 88-76 win over Ohio Dominican, Leonard notched 23 points and 15 rebounds. He added a block and four assists in the win. In a 80-75 loss to Ashland, the York native charted 12 points and 13 boards along with a pair of assists. On the week, Leonard averaged a double-double with 17.5 points and 14 rebounds per game.
For the season, Leonard is averaging 16.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game for Seton Hill, which is 4-2 overall.
