One of the most successful baseball coaches in the York-Adams League has decided to step down.

Delone Catholic's Alan Felix made his resignation official on Tuesday.

Over 11 years, Felix compiled a 187-47 record -- a nearly 80 percent winning percentage. That record included a District 3-AA championship this past season and 10 York-Adams division crowns -- eight outright and two shared.

Felix is the dean of students at Delone.

Delone recently hired Doug Arnold as the next head baseball coach. Arnold is a 1996 Delone graduate and played for Alan's father, Frank Felix, during his time at Delone. Arnold recently was a varsity assistant coach at Littlestown High School.
