Former Penn State standout Sean Lee has been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

The Dallas Cowboys' linebacker was honored for his performance in Sunday's 17-3 win against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Against the Eagles, Lee led the team with 11 combined tackles, including one for a loss, marking the fifth straight game he's led the team in tackles. He also picked up his second interception of the season.

It's the second time in Lee's career that he's been named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. He last was given the honor during his rookie season for his performance against the Indianapolis Colts on Dec. 5, 2010, in an overtime win against Peyton Manning. Lee recorded two interceptions in that game, including one for a touchdown.

For the 2013 season, Lee has 71 total tackles - 52 solo and 19 assisted.
