Spring Grove improved to 6-1 in York-Adams Division II softball action with a 10-4, eight-inning victory over Susquehannock in Glen Rock.

The Rockets erupted for six runs in the top of the eighth. Spring Grove opened a 4-2 lead after three innings, but the Warriors tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth. The score remained deadlocked through the next three innings.

Jenna Jacoby earned the victory for Spring Grove with a complete-game performance. Jacoby struck out two and walked three.

The Rockets improved to 8-3 overall. The Warriors fell to 2-5 and 5-5.

OTHER SOFTBALL

NORTHEASTERN 11, EASTERN YORK 6: At Wrightsville, Northeastern seized control of the non-divisional game early by packing nine runs into the first three innings. Maddie Renard, who went the distance on the mound for the Bobcats, helped her own cause by going 3-for-4 with a single, double and home run. Caitlyn Reinoehl also had three hits for Northeastern. Lauren Reichard and Mariah Miller both went 4-for-4 for Eastern. Reichard ripped a home run, triple and two singles, and Miller supplied a double and three singles. Leanne Lagowski finished with three hits for the Golden Knights, who outhit the Bobcats, 15-11.
