(Following are capsulized looks at Round of 16 District 3 games involving York-Adams League teams).

TUESDAY'S GAMES GIRLS' CLASS AAAA

GOVERNOR MIFFLIN (14-10) AT DOVER (23-1), 7 P.M. -- Dover ran off 23 straight victories before falling to Dallastown (53-41) in the York-Adams Tournament semifinals. The Eagles' defense is No. 1 in the York-Adams League allowing just 34.4 points a game. Alayah Hall, who averages 14.7 points a game, is Dover's leading scorer. Governor Mifflin, which competes in the Berks League, scores 49.7 points a game while giving up 45.5. Offensively, the Mustangs look to senior Emily Gingerich who's connecting for 16.9 points a game.

RED LION (16-8) AT CENTRAL DAUPHIN (17-5), 7 P.M. -- A 63-30 victory over Cedar Crest in a play-in game earned Red Lion a shot at No. 4-seeded Central Dauphin. The Rams, the runnerup team to Cumberland Valley in the Commonwealth Division of the Mid-Penn League, have the scoring trio of Shatara Parson (14.5 points a game), Precious Martin (10.9) and Amanda Stoutter (9.9). Red Lion's Jenny Horvatinovic is the York-Adams League fifth-leading scorer at 15.9 points a game. Horvatinovic earned a Division I college scholarship to Monmouth University. Morgan Kuehne (10.9) and Courtney Dimoff (9.3) complement Horvatinovic for the Lady Lions, the 13th seeded team.

DALLASTOWN (19-6) AT MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, 7 P.M. -- After capturing its first York-Adams Tournament championship in 13 years, Dallastown is aiming to make a run in the district bracket. Dallastown's length and quickness on defense make it difficult for opponents to slash to the basket or get uncontested looks from the perimeter. Shea Grim and Shannon Thomas combine for 20.6 points a game for the Wildcats who are giving up only 36.9 points a game. Mannheim Township will look to get the ball inside to 6-2 Alexandra Leslie and 5-10 Alex Ross. Leslie is averages 12.7 points a game, and Ross delivers 10.2. The teams have two common opponents this season: Red Lion and West York. Manheim Township lost close games to both teams, 41-39 to Red Lion and 49-46 to West York. Dallastown split a pair with Red Lion winning 45-36 and losing 45-44, and took two of the three from West York. The Wildcats won the first meeting, 52-39, lost the second, 40-39 and took the rubber game, 50-37, in the York-Adams title contest.

BOYS' CLASS AAA

NORTHEASTERN (16-7) AT GREENCASTLE-ANTRIM (16-5), 7 P.M. -- Khalid Nwandu showed why he earned a Division I college scholarship to Mount St. Mary's by averaging almost 21 points a game (20.9) this season for Northeastern. The 6-2 senior can slash to the hoop and knock down shots from the perimeter. Derrick Hoffman is the Bobcats' leading scorer at 8.7 points a game. Greencastle looks to Joel Zola (17.9) and Zach Faulkner (11.4) for scoring. Zola nailed 37 three-point shots this season.

BERMUDIAN SPRINGS (16-6) AT BERKS CATHOLIC (22-3), 7 P.M. -- Bermudian Springs has the unenviable task of taking on the defending District 3 and Berks League champion on its home floor. Neil Murren (11.8) and Austin Hartzell (10.1) are double-figure scorers for the Eagles. Berks Catholic features three players averaging 10 ore more points game: Nana Foulland (14.2), Chris Warren (12.3) and Connor Jack (12.3). And, oh yes, Foulland is 6-9, and Jack is 6-6.

EASTERN (16-7) AT BISHOP McDevitt (16-6), 7 P.M. Dalton Reichard helped Eastern rebound from last year's 7-15 finish by pouring in 16.5 points a game. Broguen Nicholas added 11.4 a contest for the Golden Knights, and the two teamed for 72 three-point baskets. Bishop McDevitt's explosive offense features four players in double figures: Dyllon Hudson-Emery (16.0), Justin McCarthur (16.0), Milik Gantz (11.0) and Caleb Brown (10.9). Barwin drilled 47 three-point shots, and McCarthur hit 41 shots from behind the arc. McDevitt scored an 80-57 when it played Eastern early in the season.

GIRLS' CLASS AA

NEWPORT (15-7) AT HANOVER (13-9), 7 P.M. -- Hanover's Soukaina Tracy is among the York-Adams League's top 10 scorers with a scoring average of 14.6 points per game. The Nighthawks have held opponents to an average of 37.9 points a contest. Darian Holley (10.0) and Miranda Schaeffer (8.7) are Newport's top scorers.

TULPEHOCKEN (11-10) AT BIGLERVILLE (14-8), 7 P.M. Rebecca Isaac and Olivia Moore form Biglerville's one-two scoring tandem combining for 27.3 points a game. Taylor Boyer (7.4) and Brooke Boyer (7.1) are the leading scorers for a young Tulpehocken team that has just one senior on its roster.

WEDNESDAY'S GAMES BOYS' CLASS AAAA

HEMPFIELD (13-9) AT YORK HIGH (23-2), 7 P.M. -- York High is unbeaten at home this season and hasn't lost any game since falling, 69-54, to Lancaster McCaskey, on Dec. 28. The Bearcats' senior leader, Tavon Parker, averages 19.8 points a game while Derek Wilson and Ramel Stephens supply 13.1 and 10.7 points, respectively. Parker's drilled 42 three-point shots. York wears opponents down with its depth. Coach Troy Sowers used nine players in the York-Adams Tournament championship game, and seven of them scored. Hempfield, which took out Dallastown, 54-44, in a district play-in game, played Lancaster McCaskey tough this year before losing, 65-55. The Black Knights count on the scoring of Drew Johnson (16.9), Dylan Bleacher (11.5) and Zach Walter (9.4).

CUMBERLAND VALLEY (13-9) AT SOUTH WESTERN (17-7) -- South Western's inside-outside combination of Parker Bean and Mike Duffy have accounted for 822 points this season. The 6-6 Bean is averaging 19.5 a game, and the 6-0 Duffy is scoring 14.8. Duffy's also racked up 54 three-point baskets. The Cumberland Valley trio of Tanner Kirkpatrick, Matt Tamanosky and Gray Kline team for 37.2 points a game.

GIRLS' CLASS AAA

TRINITY (12-10) AT EASTERN YORK (16-7) -- Briana Betz-White is Trinity's top scorer at 11.7 points a game. Eastern's Morgan Thomas and Elizabeth Myers supply a combined 26.6 points a game. The Shamrocks and Golden Knights have two common opponents: West York and York Catholic. Trinity lost to West York, 64-41 and defeated York Catholic, 50-45. Eastern lost to York Catholic, 38-37, and bowed twice to West York, 75-44 and 57-39. Following the first loss to West York, Eastern was just 2-4. However, the Golden Knights regrouped and won 14 of their next 17 games.

KENNARD-DALE (15-9) AT WEST YORK (21-4) -- Kennard-Dale's Sara Tarbert is the York-Adams League's leading scorer. Tarbert, who earned a Division I scholarship to the University of Maryland Baltimore County, is averaging 24 points a game. Kari Lankford is West York's scoring leader at 11.3 a game. Emily Wood is second on the Bulldogs' scoring list at 8.9 a game.

CONRAD WEISER (16-6) AT SUSQUEHANNOCK (15-7), 7 P.M. -- Hannah Racis and Rachel Zerbe are the main scoring threats for Conrad Weiser which tied Fleetwood for second place in Division II of the Berks League. Racis will enter with a scoring average of 14.5 a game, and Zerbe will check in at 11.0. Susquehannock will counter with Shannon Druck (11.2) and Katie Wagner (10.1).

BOYS' CLASS AA

TULPEHOCKEN (8-14) AT HANOVER (13-9), 7 P.M. -- Robert Ekyall (12.2 points a game, 44 three-point baskets) is Tulpehocken's top scorer. Hanover has two double-figure scorers: Dylan Krieger (14.9) and Nick Trish (11.6). Trish's offensive numbers include 25 three-point baskets.
