The Penn State York men's basketball team continued its strong season on Thursday night with a 93-83 victory at Penn State Hazleton.

The local Lions improved to 17-6 overall and 12-4 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference. PSY is in second place in the PSUAC South Division, a game behind Penn State Brandywine (13-3). PSY finishes its regular season at 3 p.m. Saturday at home against Penn State DuBois.

Red Lion Christian graduate Logan Steckel led the Yorkers with 30 points, while Josh Jamison added 20 points.

Penn State Hazleton fell to 11-12 overall and 9-7 in the PSUAC.

The PSY women weren't as fortunate, dropping a 48-47 decision at Penn State Hazleton. The visitors trailed 34-16 at the half and came up just short of making a dramatic comeback. Courtney Riggs led the visitors with 20 points, 14 rebounds and nine steals. Teammate Lauren Riggleman scored 13 points. PSY fell to 7-6 in the PSUAC and 8-12 overall. Hazleton improved to 12-10 and 8-6.
