Different night, same result.

On Thursday, Jan. 24, the Bermudian Springs Eagles beat the Biglerville Canners, 39-20, to win the York-Adams Division II wrestling title.

On Wednesday night, just six days later, the Adams County rivals met up again in the District 3-AA semifinals.

This time the Eagles came up victorious again, but it was a little closer, at 37-27.

The victory pushed Bermudian into the District 3-AA championship match at 11 a.m. Saturday at Milton Hershey against No. 1 seed Boiling Springs.

Bermudian Springs and Boiling Springs met earlier this season, with Boiling Springs earning a 33-26 victory.

Both Bermudian Springs (22-4) and Boiling Springs (16-1) have already clinched berths in the state tournament.

Biglerville's team season ended at 24-3.

Biglerville actually led Wednesday's semifinal against Bermudian, 27-19, with four bouts left. But the Eagles swept the final four matches, getting decisions from Dalton Becker (120) and Ted Marines (126), a pin from Jake Ford (132) and a forfeit from Austin Jackson (138). Marines' victory came in overtime.

Biglerville and Bermudian both rolled in their quarterfinal matches on Wednesday to set up the semifinal showdown. Biglerville beat Hamburg, 60-21, and Bermudian pounded Susquenita, 66-9.

Boiling Springs, meanwhile, punched its ticket to the final with a pair of convincing wins, beating Upper Dauphin in the quarterfinals, 72-5, and Schuylkill Valley in the semifinals, 51-18.

KENNARD-DALE 48, SUSQUEHANNOCK 33: At Glen Rock, the Rams captured the York-Adams Division I victory, receiving pins from Pat Scarborough (145), Nathan Stewart (138), Chris Hurt (152) and Chance Marsteller (170). For the Warriors, Tyler White (160) and Rulbeing Quiles (220) each picked up pins.

MILTON HERSHEY 54, YORK SUBURBAN 12: At Suburban, Bryan Baer (285) and Dustin Knaub (120) picked up pins to account for the home team's only points in the non-league loss. Suburban fell to 12-8.
