Khalid Nwandu pumped in 24 points to lead Northeastern to a 65-45 non-league boys' basketball victory at Columbia on Wednesday night.

The Bobcats led just 44-40 entering the final quarter, but outscored the home team 21-5 in the final eight minutes to take command.

Derrick Hoffman knocked in 19 points for Northeastern, which improved to 2-0 with the victory.

OTHER BOYS' BASKETBALL

HARFORD TECH 60, YORK TECH 44: At Spry, the Spartans fell behind 15-6 after one quarter and could never recover.

Ronald Henderson led Tech with 12 points, while Eric Williams added 11. Tech fell to 1-3.
