The York Capitals' indoor football team will hold its first open tryout on Sunday.

Players should be prepared to participate in a variety of drills, including short shuttle, timed 40-yard dash for skill positions and timed 20-yard dash for linemen, as well as team and one-on-one drills.

The cost to the try out is $55 per person the day of the tryout and $45 in advance. No checks will be accepted. Tryouts will be led by the Capitals' coaching staff. After the tryout, each participant will receive a meal catered by Porkys Place BBQ.

Participants must be at least 19 and able to provide proof of their birth date. This is a professional tryout and participants will no longer be eligible to participate in NCAA sanctioned football, should they participate in testing. The tryout is indoors and participants should wear T-shirts, shirts and turf shoes or sneakers.

Registration for the tryout will run from 5:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. and the tryout will last from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The tryout will take place at the LANCO Fieldhouse in East Petersburg.
