The York Expo Center will welcome more than 80 teams for the third annual Keystone Open Indoor Field Hockey Championships this weekend.
The event is sponsored by Sport York, which is a division of the York County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The YCCVB expects the event, set for Saturday and Sunday, to bring approximately 2,000 athletes, coaches and spectators to York County, and generate $500,000 for the local economy. More than half of the participating teams are from outside York County.
All teams will play a minimum of four games and a maximum of seven games.
Admission to the tournament is $7 for adults and free for children 5 and under.
"We chose to hold this tournament in York County because of the excellent facilities," said Owen Costello, the chief executive officer of the Keystone Games. "The York Expo Center is the perfect place to hold this type of event, and we have a great working relationship with the York (Country) CVB."
