At Glen Rock, Northeastern's Steve Shimkus turned in a masterful pitching performance by holding the home team to one hit in a 3-0 American Legion win on Tuesday.

Bryan Procopio's single was the only hit that Shimkus allowed. Glen Rock pitcher Sammy Miller also distinguished himself by giving up just three hits.

Eric Richards and Josh Writer both went one for two and drove in a run apiece for Northeastern.
