At Pleasureville, Stoverstown pitcher Brett Harman carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning before yielding his only hit of the game, Matt Meyer's one-out single, in a 3-0 shutout win over the Hawks in a Central League game on Tuesday night.
Harman struck out 10 batters and walked just one. The Tigers' Kyle Wildasin went two for four, including a double, and drove in three runs, and teammate Zach Schuler collected three hits and scored two runs.
Stoverstown improved its first-place record to 13-1, while Pleasureville fell to 5-10.
OTHER CENTRAL LEAGUE GAMES
JEFFERSON 3, SHILOH 2: At Jefferson, Steve Porter checked the visitors on four singles to earn the victory. Porter struck out five batters and walked two. Colin Porter supported his brother by going three for four and driving in two runs. Andy Chrismer added two hits and the third RBI for Jefferson, which scored two times in the second inning and one time in the third inning. Eli Vottero collected two hits and batted across both Shiloh runs.
MANCHESTER 4, MOUNT WOLF 1: At Mount Wolf, Andy Clemens led the visitors to the victory by picking up the complete game victory, while allowing no extra base hits, striking out three and walking only two. Teammates Josh Reeser went 2-3 with an RBI, while Trey McWilliams hit a double. For Mount Wolf, Kyle Cook pitched a complete game while striking out eight, walking only three and also going 2-3 at the plate including one run scored.
GLEN ROCK 8, DOVER 5: At Glen Rock, Tim Frisch led the home team to the victory by going 3-3, including a double and two runs scored. Teammates Tim Hare had an RBI double in the sixth, Steve Egan went 2-3, including two RBIs and one run, while starting pitcher Casey Hood pitched six innings to record the win while striking out seven and walking five. Glen Rock relief pitcher Frisch closed the door by striking out the side in the seventh. For Dover, Austin Rickrode had a two-run double in the fifth.
