South Western downed Central York 5-2 on Monday afternoon in a battle of York-Adams League Division I boys' tennis unbeatens.
The Mustangs improved to 5-0 in the division and 10-1 overall. Central fell to 3-1 in the division and 6-1 overall.
Anthony Miserendino, Quin Meyer, Brandon Stremmel and Noah Staub won in singles to clinch the win for South Western. Meyer's win at No. 3 singles came in three sets after he lost the first set, 6-3.
Central's only singles point came at No. 1, where Ryan Keffer beat Mack Meyer, 6-4, 7-6 (5).
The Panthers also got a doubles win from Zach Santos and Josh Varone at No. 2 doubles. Stremmel and Michael Fabrick won at No. 1 doubles for South Western.
OTHER BOYS' TENNIS
SUSQUEHANNOCK 5, DELONE CATHOLIC 2: At Glen Rock, Kaltrin Bullaj and Zach Hanson won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and teamed to win the No. 1 doubles match to spark the Warriors. Dan Ferraro and Shane Bookhulz also won singles matches for Susquehannock. Hanson's singles win came in three sets.
HANOVER 7, NORTH EASTERN 0: At Manchester, Joel Garrett, Cullen Rosenbrien, Jake Hasing and Nick Sellers won in singles and doubles to power Hanover.
NEW OXFORD 6, YORK HIGH 1: The host Colonials swept the singles matches and took one of the two doubles matches. York High picked up its lone match victory behind Joshua Mackley and Bryce Kruger, who teamed up to win a doubles match.
