The Eastern York girls' soccer team is coming off back-to-back unbeaten seasons in York-Adams Division III action.

The Golden Knights are off to a strong start in an attempt to make it three straight championships.

The Golden Knights rolled to a 2-0 victory over visiting Biglerville on Wednesday night to improve to 3-0-0 in Division III this season. Eastern is tied for first with Fairfield. Biglerville, who finished second in the division a year ago, dropped to 1-1-1 this season.

The Eastern-Biglerville game was tied 0-0 until the second half, when Caroll Charles found the back of the net at the 19:05 mark to break the deadlock. Abigail Caldwell scored a second-half insurance goal, while goalie Cassidy Layman stopped 10 shots to record the shutout.

For the Canners, Heather Wilkinson made 15 saves.

OTHER GIRLS' SOCCER

CENTRAL YORK 3, SOUTH WESTERN 1: At Central, all the scoring occurred in the first half. Brooke Elicker, Sam Sweeny and Taylor Artman scored for Central, while Kim Vogan had South Western's goal. Katie Hackos added an assist for the winners. Alex Wright made eight saves for Central.

YORK CATHOLIC 1, LITTLESTOWN 0: At Littlestown, Kathleen Johnson's first-half unassisted goal was the only scoring in the game. Emily Ryan made nine saves to register the shutout for York Catholic. Littlestown's Sam Henrie had eight saves.

WEST YORK 7, NORTH EASTERN 2: The visiting Bulldogs scored a handful of goals in the first half and added a pair after intermission. West York's Olivia Manges and Shyanne Kimbrough each had three goals. Bulldogs' goalkeeper Stevie Gross made three saves. The Bobcats got goals from Sam Christine and Malori Bloss-Senft. West York leads York-Adams Division II at 3-0-0.

YORK SUBURBAN 2, DOVER 0: At Suburban, Mikala Kin and Maura Brehl connected for the Trojans. Kin scored with just 17 seconds remaining in the first half and Brehl, with an assist from Hannah Kowaleski, supplied her goal at the 28-minute mark of the second half. Suburban goalie Paige Grossman made five saves to earn the shutout. Dover keeper Tiffany Logue had nine saves. Suburban improved to 2-0-1 in York-Adams Division II.

SUSQUEHANNOCK 4, KENNARD-DALE 1: At Fawn Grove, the game was tied (1-1) with 25 minutes remaining in the second half, but the Warriors scored three unanswered goals. Cassidy Mummert led Warriors with two goals, while teammate Brooke McGee scored one goal and added one assist. For the Rams, Taylor Ferner scored a second-half goal. Susquehannock improved to 2-0-1 York-Adams Division II.

DALLASTOWN 5, SPRING GROVE 0: At Spring Grove, Ashley Chioda led the Wildcats with two second-half goals. Alaina Curry picked up two assists, while Brittany Temple picked up one goal and one assist. The Wildcats' defense did not allow a shot on goal or a corner kick. For the Rockets, Kiarra Dunne made 15 saves. Dallastown improved to 2-0-1 in York-Adams Division I.

RED LION 2, NEW OXFORD 0: At New Oxford, Emma Georgantis led the Lions with one goal and one assist. The Lions' defense held the Colonials to just two shots on goal. For the Colonials, Gabby Reichart made 18 saves. Red Lion improved to 3-1 York-Adams Division I.
