Southwestern Regional Police are reminding residents not to allow sales people into their homes after the department received calls about sales people purportedly representing Spring Grove Area School District.

With in the past week, callers told police that a salesperson, suggesting he or she represents the district, came to their homes offering educational materials for sale, police said in a news release Wednesday.

On some occasions the salesperson asks to come inside the homes, police said.

Though no crime appears to have occurred, if someone made a purchase and believe the salesperson misrepresented the facts of the sale, police would look in to it further, police.

No school district in the area have entered into arrangements with businesses that make door to door sales.

Anyone with concerns is asked to contact through York County Dispatch at (717) 840-5571.
