The Newberry Township Police Department will host a golf outing in July to benefit its K-9 and T.E.A.M. programs.

Registrations for the July 25 event to be held at Valley Green Golf Course, 1227 Valley Green Road, are currently being accepted. Cost is $75 for an individual and $300 for a foursome, according to a news release from the department.

Cost includes a continental breakfast, lunch, adult beverages, green fees and cart rental. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, and prices for longest drives and closest to the pin will also be awarded.

Sponsorships, ranging from $100 to $500, are also available. The event starts at 7 a.m. with a breakfast, and the shotgun tee-off is at 8 a.m., the release says.

Proceeds will benefit the department's police dog, Tazer, and the Teaching Educating, And Mentoring school liaison program, a proactive initiative to make schools and communities safer.
