Northern York County Regional Police is accepting applications for a defensive driving program it will host in June.

The program is open to drivers age 16 and older who have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and to drivers age 55 and over who previously attended coaching and mature driver programs, according to a news release from the department.

The National Safety Council will put on the program, which will run from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the police station, 1445 E. Canal Road in Dover Township, police said.

Participants should bring a bagged lunch.

Space is limited to the first 30 people to sign up. To register, call Northern York County Regional Police at (717) 292-3647, or go to the station between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to fill out an application.
