Three new officers joined the Northern York County Regional Police Department on Monday and will now begin a weeks-long training period.

The new officers are Ryan A. Leen, 29, of Enola; Matthew T. Cicale, 25, of Fleetwood; and Kevin Leiss, 23, of Hummelstown, according to a news release from the department.

Leen is a 2003 graduate of East Pennsboro High School and graduated from the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy on Nov. 20, 2013.

Cicale is a 2013 graduate of Kutztown University and graduated from the Reading Police Academy the same year.

Leiss graduated from Penn State University in 2012 and the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy in 2013. He served as a community service office in Derry Township, Dauphin County.

The trio will be assigned to the patrol division and will undergo a 12-week field training period, the release says.
