Rep. Kevin Schreiber, D-York, will host an information session at William Penn High School on Thursday for parents to gather more information about the Keystone Exams, which could take place as early as December for some York County students.
Schreiber said he has received many questions from parents in the York area who are unsure of what the tests are and how they can prepare their children to take the exams.
Schreiber said a representative from the state Department of Education will present information about the exams and answer any questions parents or other attendees may have.
The Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments designed to measure proficiency in a number of subject areas. They are one component of Pennsylvania's new system of high school graduation requirements.
The information session will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, in the William Penn High School cafeteria.
The school is located at 101 W. College Ave. in York.
