This weekend's ninth annual Benefit of Hope hopes to raise $125,000 for the fight against cancer.
Hosted by the American Cancer Society, "A Night of Intrigue & Inspiration" will include a cocktail reception, silent and live auction and a gourmet evening meal for more than 200 attendees, according to a news release from the society.
The event will specifically give contributions to future American Cancer Society research grants at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, the release said.
It will take place on Saturday at the Country Club of York. An invitation-only VIP hour will be at 5 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour for all guests at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7:30 p.m.
