The York Jewish Community Center is hosting a six-week course titled "Life in the Balance: Jewish Perspectives on Everyday Medical Dilemmas."
The course sessions are 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays beginning Oct. 30 at the JCC, 2000 Hollywood Drive in York Township.
Topics include safeguarding our health, end-of-life dilemmas and confronting the organ shortage, according to the JCC. The presenter is Rabbi Elazar Green of Chabad of York.
The course is approved for credits for continuing legal education for attorneys in Pennsylvania, as well as for continuing medical education credits for medical professionals through the joint sponsorship of State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and the Jewish Learning Institute, according to the JCC.
The course cost of $95 includes a textbook. There are additional fees for those who want the legal and medical credits.
