A York City teen escaped physical injury Monday night when he was robbed at gunpoint by a group of males he didn't know.
York City Police said the 16-year-old and a buddy were approached by five or six males near the corner of South Pershing Avenue and West Maple Street about 7:30 p.m.
One person in the group pointed a gun, at which point the teen's buddy ran away, police said.
The teen handed over his cash and cellphone to the group, police said.
The teens said everyone in the group was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and all appeared to be in their late teens, police said.
