Parents wanting a way to talk with their teens about money can attend an upcoming Money School Workshop with their teens.
Registration is now open for the next two workshops, slated for Saturday, March 9 at Susquehannock High School and Saturday, April 13 at Hanover High School. Both sessions will be held from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The program is geared to helping high school students and their parents financially prepare for life after graduation. The workshops will introduce students to the basics of managing checking and savings accounts, using debit and credit cards, the importance of credit history and how to create a financial plan, budget and goals. Students receive a workbook.
Money School is presented by York County Libraries through a Smart Investing @your library grant.
Students and their parents may attend at any location, and should register online at www.yorklibraries.org. Any questions should be directed to coordinator Bonnie Young at (717) 849-6944 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
