The York County Astronomical Society will offer a free New Telescope Clinic from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday at their observatory at John C. Rudy County Park.

This event will be the same evening and time as YCAS's public observing session at the Rudy Park Observatory, and replaces the canceled New Telescope Clinic from Dec. 29.

Experience has shown that the first night out with a new telescope can be daunting. Consequently, many new telescopes are used only once or twice, then never again due to frustration. The York County Astronomical Society will help new telescope owners set up their telescope the first time and learn how to use and enjoy it.

Bring the telescope and all the items that came with it (including batteries, if required, and the instruction manual) to our. For directions to the observatory, visit www.ycas.org/directions.htm.
