The York County Department of Parks and Recreation will present an "Animals in Winter" program from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Participants will enjoy a hike with parks naturalist Kelsey Frey along the pre-winter trails to see if animals are prepared for the long, cold days ahead. Look for animal signs and learn how the animals are planning to spend the winter.

There is no fee for the program, and registration is not required. For more information, contact the Nature Center at Nixon County Park at (717) 428-1961. For this and other programs, go to www.yorkcountyparks.org.
