The York County Controller's Office has, for the 21st consecutive year, been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the nonprofit Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

County Controller Robb Green was recently presented the award on behalf of the county for the 2011 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The report outlines actual expenses and revenues in a given year, providing an accounting of the county's assets and liabilities.

The certificate is the "highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting," according to the organization.
