* "Ought it Not Be a Merry Christmas" will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, in the Old Monaghan Church. Learn how Americans celebrated Christmas during the Civil War. Join re-enactor Myra Reichart as she transports us to a 19th-century Christmas filled with the conflicting emotions of a country torn by the Civil War. This program is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, The Library of America and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of America.
* The library is interested in starting a LEGO Club. The club will meet once a month for an hour. Anyone 6 years or older is invited to join. Donations of LEGOs are needed, but instructions or full sets are not necessary. All donations may be dropped off at the Library. Please do not leave LEGOs on the porch or put them in the book drop.
